The Ranger Suarez Cocktail
Comments : 2 Posted in : Drinks of the Week, Tailgate Drinks on by : Chuck Tags: Drink of the Week, Dry Vermouth, Ranger Suarez, Vodka
Ranger Suarez was the Phillies’ Game 3 starter today in the NLCS against the Padres. I decided to take a chance. Why not invent a drink based on his name? He’s kind of an underrated starter, not an ace but a guy that has fought to get into the rotation and earned his spot. Kind of like this drink, made with dry vermouth and has no business being this good.
Ingredients
- 1 part vodka
- 1 part dry vermouth
- 1 part dry white wine (trust me)
- 2 parts sprite
- Splash of very red fruit punch
- 5 drops of bitters
- Ice
Assembly
- Put the ice in a tumbler, then pour the vodka. Let it sit a minute.
- Put the vermouth, white wine, lemon lime soda, fruit punch, and drops of bitters, in that order.
- Stir and serve. Optionally, line the rim lightly with salt for extra on the fastball.
Hoping this cocktail is Ranger Suarez approved!
