I was literally scratching my head trying to figure out what I should do as the “Drink of the Week”, and my thoughts drifted to a hard cider and whiskey punch, which works as both a single drink or a large punchbowl.

A steak, egg and cheese bagel comes into play for tailgating. It’s a great choice, especially if you’ve made cheesesteaks the night before.

This week, literally, I was trying to come up with a drink that would use up a bunch of blood orange seltzer water that was about to go flat.

Every fall, my mother and father (and now, us as well) enjoy figs from several fig trees on our properties.

Sweeping the world has been the Aperol Wine Spritzer, and it’s specifically swept through the my household, as my wife has insisted I make it ever since we bought that bottle of Prosecco.

Inspired by Donkey’s Place Steaks, the original New Jersey Cheesesteak mecca, it truly is worth it sometimes to venture outside of the comfort zone. It’s amazing!

It’s a beautiful layered drink that brings to mind Old Nassau’s Main Street and maybe an eating club or two. Chill the martini glasses before the pour.

The members and their guests would throw quoits (basically iron doughnuts) at posts, eat roast pig barbecued with cayenne pepper, and drink the punch Jasper Crouch, a freed slave who knew his mixology, would make for them.
